I created this mark and promotional materials to advertise a production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The mark is inspired by a blackletter typeface that is unraveling just as the main characters in the play take escalating violent actions that eventually destroy them. The poster uses the mark layered over photography to stand in as the poisonous crown that blinds Lady Macbeth in her ambitious path.
